It’s been a long time coming, but our little community site has finally gone live. As the current webmaster, I am ecstatic to see it finally up and running in presentable condition. NES was originally birthed from a sense of frustration bred among other online gaming communities. A general sense of discontent over the integrity of other outlets drove us to wonder what we would do differently if given the opportunity. It was then that the founders of NES decided that if we were to create a new site, it would be one that was unique in its approach.
There are many gaming communities on the web, but we wanted to create one with a voice – a true voice inspired by our joy and passion for this pass-time but tempered with reason and accountability. The goal of NotEnoughShaders.com is to galvanize members of the gaming community to write their own articles, present their own thoughts, and offer up points of discussion that otherwise may go overlooked, all while being held to the highest standard possible by other members of the community. If something about the video game industry is troubling you, write about it! We intend to give you a place where you can be heard. Have a great idea for a feature not seen on other sites? Why not spearhead it yourself? We want to give you that opportunity. This is the place to start.
I am thrilled to announce that we are openly accepting submissions for publication. It is through contributions from our community of gamers that we intend to build and grow this site. Its fate is in your hands. I believe NotEnoughShaders.com can become truly great, but that will only be possible through the collective effort of gamers like you. Though the site may now be considered officially launched, it is inevitably going to be in a perpetual state of change for some time to come. All I can hope is that we end up building a place where all of us want to hang out.
